Aroga was founded in 2003, and is currently based in the village of Unstone, Derbyshire, UK. 

The word "Aroga" is derived from the Sanskrit language, and literally means "free from disease". This is the fundamental goal of the company, to make people free from illness, and restore them to health.

Aroga was founded by Dr Gurmej Virk. He trained as a scientist in the UK, before recognising the fundamental flaws in modern medicine and science, and beginning his study of Homeopathy.

Gurmej Virk trained in Homeopathy at the highly respected North West College of Homeopathy, in Manchester. He is registered with the Society of Homeopaths, the largest regulatory body of the profession, which ensures that the highest possible standards of treatment are maintained, and a professional code of ethics is abided by.
